Born in 1974, Tokyo.
His turntablism creates new stories with any kind of music from his collection just like “National Geographic”. Oversea musicians such as TTC, Lightning Bolt, Jason Forrest praised him for his uniqueness. Sessions with OOIOO, Original Love, Moodman, Killer-Bong, Keiji Haino showed his originality and new possibility of turntables.
In 2008, he released the album “Borshakaal Breaks” as ‘Oigoru’ (project with Tabla percussionist U-zhaan known for ASA-CHANG & JUNRAY).

REBEL MUSICAL a.k.a. DJ KEI
Beatmaker / DJ from Sapporo, Hokkaido.
His music is made by styles of Hip Hop, Dub and Breakbeats. When artists like Low End Theory, Madlib, J Rocc, Pete Rock, Gold Panda, Four Tet, Keiji Haino, Toe, Candle June toured in Hokkaido, he had come to play with them.
He has been working for projects with a Japanese Hip Hop crew ‘MIC JACK PRODUCTION’.

RAWPLAN are a duo of directors working in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
Our recent projects include: curatorial participation at the Sapporo Pre-Biennale Contemporary Art Exhibition, which will be organized by Sapporo City and be officially re-launched as a triennale in 2014, a group exhibition on the top floor of PARCO, a fashion complex in the central Sapporo, curatorial direction for monthly exhibition at FABULOUS, a fashion and design shop, which is widely recognized in Japan and internationally.
Our personal projects include: an art and camping event using a former school building and encouraging creativity in the forest, management of a tour in US for Hokkaido indegenious Ainu musicians, curatorial projects at a public museum and management of a cafe-cum-gallery in Sapporo.

DJ SINKICHI
Originally a drummer from Kyoto, Japan. He has travelled in many directions with music. He experienced rave culture in London Then it became a main influence for him to begin DJing.
He came back and formed a drum-electronic-turntable style band with music that can be discribed as Techno, House, Trance, Jazz, Afro and Ambient… and toured all over Japan. The band has released totally 5 albums.
DJ SINKICHI has appeared in many open-air festivals, raves and clubs. In 2007, he moved to Koza, Okinawa, a place that has a close relationship with the US military. He has started several parties in that “music town”.

In 1993, started Djing at Hino-Tama hall in Okinawa.
In 1999, with DJ SAHIB, created AUDIO SUTRA. In 2007, he and bassist T. Jinguji started “2nd roots records”.
A Mix CD “Nu-Doh Live Mixed @ Mohican 2010730″ has been released from JUZU aka MOOCHY’s label “PROCEPTION”.
Nu-Doh trains everyday to become a deep “Okinawan (Shiman-Tyu)”.

(“Churashima” is a beautiful island in Okinawa.)
Started by two people, one is SINKICHI who is an ex-drummer of SOFT and AOA and another
is NU-DOH who participated in music group AUDIO SUTRA which was
led by YAMA a.k.a. SAHIB.
The party “bud ryukyu” started by them in 2010, it is now becoming the biggest Bass Music Party in Okinawa, which has invited MALA, ROB SMITH, etc. bud ryukyu is focused to spread their actions from Okinawa to the world.

DAN BI MONG (Digital Natives, Switzerland) – BIOGRAPHY

“Born in 1979 in Switzerland, I started music when I was a child, playing classical instruments like piano, flute, etc. I was involved in electronic music since 2005 by producing a bouncy/groovy tech/house under the name WongChingChong. So at first, I only used to make live acts but really quickly I started also to make DJ sets because of the number of gigs I got in clubs and festivals.

In 2007, I founded the collective called Digital Natives based in Lausanne, Switzerland. We were 4 people offering a mixture of DJ sets and live acts by producing live remixes on stage. Our technical setup was composed with 1 turntable linked to Serato, 1 computer using Ableton Live, 1 groovebox Korg Electribe, 1 Korg Kaos Pad Pro and 1 Korg Oscillator Pro. We had residencies in Lausanne’s clubs like D!Club (www.dclub.ch) and Loft Electroclub (www.loftclub.ch) and this innovating project offered us also the opportunity to play in the main electronic music events of Switzerland alongside world known artists like A-Track, Dj Mehdi, Yuksek, Busy P, Ricardo Villalobos, Dusty Kid, Mathew Jonson, etc, and also in internationally acclaimed events like Montreux Jazz Festival and Paleo Festival. After 4 years passed in the collective Digital Natives, we decided to split to go each one in our proper ways. I am now for some years more interested in playing a house/classic-house/nu-disco/deep-house/analog-tech music, always attentive to keep the crowd pro-active with the music to create a classy-groovy dancefloor mood. I played those last year in places like Motel Campo in Geneva (CH), QueenKongClub in Neuchâtel (CH), Lock Tavern in London (UK), Electrosanne Festival in Lausanne, Le Bourg in Lausanne (CH), Glow in Bangkok (TH), Culture Club in Bangkok (TH), The Factory in Ho Chi Minh City (VN), Dragonfly in Hanoi (VN), etc, alongside artists like, Digitaline (Cadenza, Raoul Rec., CH), Gregorythm (Raoul Rec, Tigersushi, Minibar, CH), Gerd Janson (Running Back, D), Mock & Toof (DFA, Tiny Sticks, UK), Etienne Jaumet (Versatile, I am a cliché, F), Burnski (Poker Flat, 20:20 Vision, UK), Matt Wasley (Human Life, USA), Crowdpleaser (Turbo, Mental Groove, CH), Montonn Jira (Samutprakarn Sound, TH), Casper C (Fabric, UK), Ly Sander (Deeply Rooted House, Mental Groove, CH ), Born Bjorg (Poor Rec., CH), etc.

Since September 2011, I moved from Switzerland to Bangkok in order to go on with music production.”

SayakaStar has been a part of the Tokyo music club scene since 1994. She started out as a Techno-Pop and New Wave DJ working at the lively and exciting clubs and parties happening in Japan, including those that were still underground at that time. She grew and developed her musical skills getting her inspiration and muse from the excitement of Tokyo’s clubs and the creativity brewing underneath in the smaller avant-garde venues. SayakaStar joined a band called “Texas 2000” in 1999. The band plays mad electronica music using only T.I. machines (Texas Instruments) such as “Speak and Spell” and so on.without a sequencer and no TB-303. In 2004 while she was traveling around the world performing and DJ’ing her grandfather, who was an astronomer, died. In the Australian bush she looked up into the brilliant, starry night sky and felt moved and inspired by the loss of her grandfather who loved the stars. She sensed that he wanted to say to her, “Keep moving with music! Follow the Light!” So that day she named herself “SayakaStar”. Since then she has organized and performed at both indoor and outdoor events with success all over Japan, Australia, and Germany. Fusion Festival2009(Germany),Exodus Festival2006(Australia) Expo 2005(Japan),Parkbridge(Thai) Currently SayakaStar is based in Berlin, the capital of Techno, working as a very active DJ all over this planet. She plays rainbow, multicolored music with good vibrations chock full of deep TechHouse beat sets and also freestyle chill-out sets. Currently, She is Playing at Savannah in Gibraltar on every Saturdays.

Sol Nowarl & Sho (B2B set)
Solnowarl is an alternative ambient DJ from southern Japan.
She has been strongly influenced by the rave culture in the early 2000′s when she began her career as a DJ.
Solnowarl was a resident DJ as well as the decorator for one of Fukuoka’s most prominent night clubs.
After tearing up the nightclub scene she took her sound outdoors and began playing festivals such as Rainbow (2005) & Total Solar Eclipse Music Festival (2009).
She has always been drawn to warmer climates and she has finally made her way to Bangkok.
She is a master of blending the sounds of deep ambient and minimal space techno. Travelers of sound are captivated by this woman’s universal atmosphere.

“Party” is an alternative art space, which exists between “Gallery” and “Street”. Nowadays Japanese underground party scene shows its original network of organizer, DJs and artists. They can also be called “Party Punks”, based on D.I.Y. spirit.
Qotaroo introduces an atmosphere of the scene through his artworks of flyer, poster and record/CD jacket. It will be a key to know a deep underground dance culture of Japan.

QOTAROO’s Biography
Born in Osaka, Japan in 1977.
Started DJing as a House music DJ when he was a teenager.
Participated “Burning Man”, the most famous freaky art festival in 2003. Then organized many parties as a booking manager of Club Zing, Osaka.
Has been producing artworks for the party flyer, CD & vinyl jacket, advertisement, WEB and apparel brand throughout Japan.
Now based in Osaka, takes part in ‘Original Future Dance Party’ called “POWWOW” and a creator’s mixed media production “Cosmic Lab”.

“QOTAROO is a graphic artist / designer and one of leaders of a party scene in Kansai (West Japan). In past, he organized many parties as a booking manager of Club Zing. Now he holds Powwow at various places in Japan dropping imagination, which comes from parties, into his designs while he circulates dance floors and designs. Like he says ‘When making flyers and jackets, I think I make colors for melodies and shapes for grooves. And it’s a translation from hearing to sight.’ QOTAROO expresses, very naturally and closely, feelings and vibrations DJs put into sounds. ‘I Watch the sound. I hear the light.’ This sense is the true charm of QOTAROO’s designs.”
